He has been a lecturer and clinical research optometrist at U.C. Berkeley, where he also completed an NIH fellowship in laser corneal reshaping.

Dr. Jim Winnick completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and his doctorate degree at the State University of New York in Manhattan, he came to the west to complete his residency training in Portland, OR. Dr Winnick decided to make his home in California and has been working with Sierra Vista Optometry since 2018.
